After a long apprenticeship, and a lot of waxing on and waxing off, we developed our first cut of true selvedge - cutting a beautiful roll of 14oz Japanese rope-dyed denim along the edge.

Selvedge is notoriously tricky to make. Woven with a shuttle loom, the old school way, — each pair requires more time, care and effort than and ordinary jean. And the ’self finished edges’ that give the style its name make pattern planning a nightmare.

The extra care makes all the difference though. Each roll has its own individual character to the weave that you just can't get with a modern loom. It’s also naturally softer, and gives a better fade over time.

Woven by Kaihara, a world renowned Japanese denim mill, we’ve included an extra strip of selvedge along the top of the coin pocket, complete with our classic SPOKE orange stitching.

Blended with 2% stretch and available in your choice of over 400 size variations for a flawless fit.

Our Selvedge Denim is made with 98% Cotton and 2% Elastane.
