Who are we?
SPOKE was founded by Ben in 2013. In time-honoured tradition, he couldn’t find what he was looking for — so he decided to build it himself.
A man of crushingly normal dimensions, he still found himself visiting the dry cleaner to nip and tuck and finish his clothes. Surely there had to be a better way?…
There was just one catch — he’d never made or sold menswear before. And the dangerous thought ‘how hard can it be?’, will only get you so far. It turns out, it’s really quite hard.
So, he’s spent a decade assembling a crack team of tailoring and e-commerce all-stars and building a portfolio of relationships with some of the best tooled, sustainably run factories in Europe, the near East and Asia.

Fit isn’t rocket science. Small, medium and large are clumsy averages. We hand finish to order, in a vast range of sizes, so we can offer the only size that counts: yours.

A great fit is the making of a look — and gives you confidence to be the best version of yourself.
On the other hand, poorly-fitting clothes slip the the back of your wardrobe — creating hidden waste in an industry that already consumes too much.
‘Ready to wear’, really isn’t — and truly bespoke is an expensive luxury that takes weeks.

Where do we do it?
Richmond
At SPOKE we often split the difference — seeking out the sweet spot, the best of both worlds. So Richmond, it turns out, is our spiritual home. Where you can take in a view of the London skyline — from a park full of deer. Where tech mixes it with Victorian gardens. But we’re connected to culture, and plugged into the zeitgeist In a landscape that is timelessly beautiful. Also, there’s an excellent Nando’s.
